The moment is finally here — the day TVS finally enters the adventure segment. Launched today in India, with an introductory price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the TVS Apache RTX 300 is a milestone in the brand’s history. For those seeking a Made in India, mid-capacity ADV that is well-balanced between capability and practicality, this is going to be your favorite bike.
Design: Rugged, Muscular, and Purposeful
What’s my impression? The bike looks every bit of an adventure bike that TVS promised. The RTX 300 stands tall and looks commanding — LED “eye-shaped” headlamps, tall adjustable windscreen, beak-style front fender, and a large fuel tank give off a strong visual appearance. Split seating, integrated luggage rack, and intent indications for trailing longer show its thought regarding touring comfort.
Engine and Performance
At its core is a 299cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine generating 35 hp and 28.5 Nm of torque. Complementing the engine is a 6-speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter, along with a slipper and assist clutch. This is all quite impressive for the pricing. TVS claims that the mid-range pull and throttle response are smooth, allowing you to ride comfortably through the city and escape for the weekend!

Hardware and Features
A steel trellis frame holds it all together, with USD forks and a rear monoshocker, as well as 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels ensuring it’s geared towards mixed-terrain riding. Dual disc brakes start the braking, with dual-channel switching ABS.
And now for the features – TVS have packed it to the brim; ride modes from a switch – Urban/ Rain/ Tour/ Rally; traction control, cruise control; a Bluetooth-enabled TFT with TVS SmartXonnect for navigation; USB charging; and space for a pannier that looks ready to go the distance.
Variants and Pricing
The Apache RTX 300 comes in several variants priced between Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on color options and customizations. It will be available in striking colors — Pearl White, Lightning Black, Metallic Blue, and Tarn Bronze.

Initial Impression Verdict
Right away the TVS Apache RTX 300 gives off a confident and feature-packed wearable first impression that can fairly take on the KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and even Royal Enfield Scram 440. It ticks all the boxes with appropriate pricing, equipment, and combination of power as well as tech.
This is not even an new Apache, but TVS’s bold step into the adventure space and gives an very promising first impression.
