Okay, 77 lac is the price. To be honest, I think it’s a bit insane but now I’m looking at my credit score also.

Only 1,000 units will be made. And that is it. That is the part that blows my mind. Ducati is producing only 1,000 units of this motorcycle across the globe, and they are not telling us how many will be coming to India (which means there won’t be very many).

So, when you buy this bike you are not just buying a motorcycle. You are buying an exclusive motorcycle that will have market value at motorcycle gatherings.

What You’re Actually Paying For

In addition to the beautiful paint scheme by Aldo Drudi, the Tricolore provides substantial performance improvements over previous models:

These upgrades include carbon fibre wheels which reduce unsprung weight by almost 1 kg; this reduction makes a large difference in handling when entering and exiting corners at speeds that would result in significant penalties.

The Tricolore also includes Front Brake Pro Technology. In simple terms, this means World Superbikes (WSBK) high-performance brake system on a street bike. It includes dual 338.5mm front rotors with Brembo Hypure calipers and a beautiful MCS 19.21 master cylinder. I have used Brembo braking systems with less expensive calipers and found them amazing. I can only imagine how awesome this combo is; one finger would be like grabbing the hand of God.

Overall, the Tricolore is about 3 kg lighter than the standard V4 model; this brings the bike to 188 kg when dry. This is extremely light for the performance it offers.

The Details That Matter

Ducati has put a lot of thought into the small details of the bike. Each bike comes with a personalized engraved plate showing the vehicle identification number, an aluminum key with a serial number, and a unique animation that runs on the dashboard when you turn the vehicle on. The Alcantara seat is an excellent addition for those who like the extra grip when leaning into turns. Lastly, the footpegs are made from an adjustable aluminum material which can be fine-tuned to your precise riding position.

Same Engine, New Look?

You can expect the same engine in the Ducati Panigale V4 and the Ducati Panigale V4S (1,103cc V4 Desmosedici Stradale), which continues to produce a maximum of 216 horsepower and 122 Nm of torque. The only change with the Ducati Panigale V4R is that it has a new dry clutch for the track. Do you really need more than 216 bhp? I doubt it. Will 216 bhp suffice? Yes…maybe even more.

The Unboxing Experience

You will also receive a certificate of authenticity, a special presentation box, and a custom Tricolore bike cover with the motorcycle as part of your purchase package. It sounds like something that would just take up space until you show it to your friends and make them remember that you bought a Ducati.

Keeping it Real

Audi RS pricing isn’t exactly affordable at ₹77 lakhs. That amount of money could easily pay your down payment for an apartment. But if you’re the sort of person who gets emotionally moved by the looks of the new Panigale V4R, then no amount of financial reason will get in your way.

I am not saying I would buy one…I am saying I cannot buy one…but damn would it be enjoyable to hear the V4 growl echoing off the walls of my favourite ghat road.

If you want a bike, you better hurry. Only a couple are coming to India.
