Ather Energy had recently made a major announcement in their 2025 Community Day, where they unveiled new technologies such as the EL platform. The most direct update, though, is a new feature known as Infinite Cruise for their flagship electric scooter, the Ather 450 Apex.
Basically, this is a cruise control system designed for the busy and diverse highways of India. Unlike most cruise control in cars, Ather claims this system is intelligent enough to accommodate situations when you need to quickly tap the brake without fully deactivating the feature.
The Infinite Cruise feature has three distinct modes to assist with different riding conditions:
- CityCruise: Probably for cruising at a consistent speed within urban traffic.
- Hill Control: To keep power when riding uphill.
- Crawl Control: To travel slowly and steadily in heavy traffic jams.
This new feature is only available on the 450 Apex, adding to its other standout features such as the aggressive Warp+ mode and its transparent body panels. The engine and battery hardware of the scooter do not change, maintaining its power at 7kW and its battery pack at 3.7kWh. The Ather 450 Apex’s price begins at ₹1.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
